About Us

Attwater and Best Quality Butchers is a partnership between Barry Attwater and Craig Best. Craig started his butchery career as a Saturday boy while still at school, and Barry started work at a butchers in Smallfield upon leaving school. Between them, the two butchers have over 65 years of experience.
When they opened their shop two years ago, they resolved to only sell quality, locally-sourced meat and to be honest with their customers about where their produce came from. They wanted piece of mind for their customers over how the animals were treated and the diets they were fed. This they achieved with carefully chosen suppliers to enable them to offer their customers an ethical and 'green' choice.
